…wait what, it’s been a year in Nodame Paris?

I watched Nodame Paris Chapter 08 and I feel lost or like I haven’t been paying attention or something. At the end, Chiaki comments that they’ve been in Paris for a year. Huh, it’s been a year? Really? 6 through the beginning of 8 took place over like a period of 3 days then suddenly later in 8 it’s June. Apparently Nodame has gotten better at the piano as per Chiaki’s commentary but I don’t really remember her progressing…? Episode 4-ish was the last time we saw her with Auclair. I’m also surprised that Tanya got A++++ marks on the end of the year exam as her scenes often implied that she was the one taking music the least SRSLY and also that she doesn’t really practice very much and is more concerned about… uhhh boys and watching TV. It doesn’t help that the last time we saw her play, Chiaki criticized her. Despite the story telling us that they’re better now, I don’t feel like the progress they made was actually shown.

if you watch again, Chiaki had a world tour = 3 months. and probably a few more from the start, and many more later on. who knows? :\

I have a feeling that they’re skipping a lot of manga material, cause the pace this season has been ridiculously fast. Either that, or it’s the fact that they’re no longer spending half the episode on each classical performance.

I haven’t been keeping up with the manga so I wouldn’t know for sure =/.

The animu is surprisingly faster than the live action, but the dorama tried to squish everything within a small timeframe, which kind of worked.

tbh, the animu is losing me. I never expect much from J.C. Staff, for good reason too. I can’t believe this guy directed Higurashi…

Agreed, they’re rushing it too fast. It barely FEELS like there’s been any progress at all if time slips like these happen to fast.

IMO they should’ve made this into a 24 ep series and taken their time with some of the scenes. o.o
