I just realized now by the way, (at least I remember reading in one of your articles that you are Korean: “I’m Korean kekeke zerg rush. ” ) that Umineko is going to have a Korean translation, which might be better for you if you don’t fancy the english weeaboo translation, or deciphering the original japanese version.
I’m not sure how far are they now or even how do you find the project among all those difficult symbols, but if you speak Korean, you probably won’t have trouble finding it. I hope that might help. Links:

Since people who are interested in Japanese culture make up 90% of the anime watching population, they mostly know what some basic honorifics are. There are no words in any language that have the exact same meaning of -san, -kun, -chan, -sama, -chama, heck even -chwan.

Or, you know, maybe they just think they know but are actually just spouting complete bullshit? Just a thought!

(Really, what the hell is a “chwan”?)

Personally I believe keeping honorifics just keeps the Japanese flavor in a product. (Anime, VN, Manga, movies etc.)
Since people who are interested in Japanese culture make up 90% of the anime watching population, they mostly know what some basic honorifics are. There are no words in any language that have the exact same meaning of -san, -kun, -chan, -sama, -chama, heck even -chwan.
So when I see a translation translating Battler-san to Battler, it just makes me feel like I’m watching an American show. (not trying to discriminate definetaly.) But I watch animes for the flavor they have, and I know thousands who think same as me.

As for Obasan, Ojisan, I don’t know. Before reading up Witch-Hunt’s translation Grimoires, I had no idea what Aniki Aneki were, well okay I had some idea but they were mixed up. Calling Eva Obasan Aunt Eva also seems a little bit out of place, but I think It could be forgiven.

There is an English thread, but I've never personally spoken with him... so who knows if he just throws things in excite or whatever. I've never really played on jRO but most(all?) skill names are in the English names in katakana, however I don't know what Japanese terminology would be either.
